Founded in 2019 by designer Harunobu Murata, HARUNOBUMURATA is a Tokyo-based luxury brand defined by quiet elegance and architectural restraint. Guided by the concept of Luxury of Silence, the label explores understated beauty through refined tailoring, fluid draping, and meticulously sourced fabrics from Italy and Japan.

Murata’s experience in Milan—where he studied at Istituto Marangoni and designed for Jil Sander under Lucie and Luke Meier—deeply informs the brand’s minimalist aesthetic and European sensibility. Since debuting at Milan Fashion Week with the support of the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, the brand has earned critical recognition, including the 2021 Tokyo Fashion Award and the 2024 Mainichi Fashion Grand Prix Newcomer Prize.
