Osamu Matsuzaki

Osamu Matsuzaki, born in 1979, is a lacquerware artisan based in Tochigi. Trained under his father, he handles every step of production himself, carving forms from solid wood using the kurimono technique and applying layered lacquer by hand for a deeply personal, refined finish.
