This striking cup and saucer set is part of the Tadanori Yokoo Dokuro series. The highly original skull motif showcases the individuality of the user and adds a bold artistic touch to everyday tableware. The design is not only featured on the front of the cup and saucer, but also extends to the back of both items—and even the inside of the cup—for a fully immersive visual experience.

Unglazed Stage

• The skull design is printed onto Mino paper (a shoji-like washi paper) using gosu (a traditional dark blue pigment used in sketching) and then transferred to the surface of the plate.
  
• A white glaze is applied to the plate, and it is fired at 1200℃ to 1300℃. The result is a dramatic contrast between the white glaze and the deep blue gosu, creating a vivid, one-of-a-kind skull design.
