The Z Jincup Ceramic Mug by AKIHIRO WOOD WORKS is produced at ONE KILN in Kagoshima City using a technique known as haidei-komi. Each piece is individually formed by pouring liquid clay into a mold, creating a natural drip-like pattern along the interior. Variations in pouring speed and setting time influence the thickness of the vessel and the shape that remains inside, resulting in subtle differences from one piece to another.

Firing in the kiln introduces slight distortions that give every mug its own character and organic expression. The exterior retains the distinctive chisel-textured surface and sculptural form of the original Jincup, while the smooth porcelain finish offers a refined feel in hand. The uniquely shaped handle with its circular cutout remains a defining feature.
